Request for Design Help
Hello and thank you for visiting this RecTech wiki! This Wiki is intended to be an online community for sharing adaptive equipment designs and methods that help enable greater participation in recreational and physical activities for all! This page is for if you have an idea or would like to see something made! If you have something in mind, here's what you'll need to do.
- Create a login in - it's free, and the reason we ask people to do this is to avoid random, automated hacking
- Click on the "Edit" tab at the top of this page. This tab is only visible when you are logged into the wiki.
- Type in your request, giving as much information as possible. The first two numbers currently shown on the page are just placeholders since the site is so new. Be sure to click on the "Save" button at the bottom of the screen.
Or email: rectechwiki@gmail.com and place a request
Request List
ex: Joe Smith. March 29th, 2011. "A device to help me tighten my shoelaces." My client has limited strength in his hands but still likes to go on walks for himself. He is adamant about wearing lace up shoes and I need a way for him to be able to tighten them himself. Please email me at: myname@email.com
1. Your Name. The Date. "Project Title." Project Description. Contact Info.
2. Emily Eckel, June 10, 2011. I enjoyed the presentation at RESNA and hope the site is a great success. This request should be on the ADL wiki but there isn't a "request a design" link over there. I challenge your students to make a device that will enable a one handed person to put in a ponytail. I'm an OT and I've been trying to figure it out for years. Nothing seems to work. eeckel@chatham.edu
